Today I received an email from WritersType that my latest submission, “Full Circle,” ranked as the winner of the June 2012 Flash Fiction competition! The idea for this story came from my amazing Dad who made additional wooden inserts for our antique table. You’d never know his leafs aren’t original. As we inserted each leaf over the years, I saw our table transform. The table was the same, yet different. Better. And I thought: it’s a metaphor for a family.
